JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead design projects across the entire product lifecycle and multiple product launches, setting the vision for the user experience and creating the space for the team to collaborate.
  • Design visually-engaging digital products including single-page applications, microsites, and feature stories
  • Work with teams of project managers, editors, designers, developers and production specialists on multiple web projects
  • Provide advice and recommendations on best practices, standards and tools in digital design and UX
  • Work with external vendors (e.g. digital agencies and contractors) on specialized projects
  • Communicate design approaches to a variety of technical and non-technical stakeholders effectively.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to conceptualize and create visually attractive and immersive websites for both desktop and mobile devices
  • Possess a working knowledge of web technologies which informs product design ideas and decisions
  • Ability to use web data/analytics to inform design decisions
  • Knowledge of HTML and CSS is a requirement
  • Ability to analyze and organize content in a visually comprehensible form
  • Through interactive experiences, communicate the value of a product or service.
  • Ability to position UNDP’s brand and uphold it to a high level of quality.
  • Focuses on impact and result for the client, responding to requests from HQ and CO on a timely manner.
  • Demonstrates openness to change and ability to manage complexities.
